YOUTH KILLED IT

What has been your highlight of the Music industry?

The whole industry is pretty crazy and amazing at the same time! But it's gotta be festivals.
Festivals are the absolute best thing. Playing outside in the sun, camping, cold beers and tons of other bands to hang around with and meet!

How does music make you feel / has it ever been a therapy?

Music is different for everyone in terms of the emotional response. Some people use it to pump them selves up for a night out or give them some confidence for that job interview.
For me, as I've got a little older, I get a almost overwhelming feeling of inspiration from live music particularly, and that's definitely escalated when we are on stage.
It's definitely a therapy, how you use that therapy changes from person to person I think.

Where did you get the inspiration of What's so great, Britain?

WSGB came from just looking around us, it's an observation of the people, communities and experiences we have all been through or encountered.
It has a meaning to us and at sometimes makes some serious points, but we like to keep things fun and a bit tongue & cheek!

What makes music so important to you?

It's hard to explain, but when you've listened to music all day everyday since the day you got your first tape player. Then it becomes the soundtrack to your life.
There's times in my life I can pin a song too, because that's what i was listening to at the time. It's my support system, it's my entertainment and my passion.

What's your favourite thing about touring with each other?

I think we are all still big children, so it's good to all be together for a few weeks and be just that. Immature, loud and just letting loose you know?
When we are all together there's always something to laugh about, pretty great atmosphere to be honest!
