What makes music so important to you?
Brendan: Some people are born with the music in their ears, its as simple as that. If you are a certain personality this isn't something you can just ignore. Since I was young I can always remember having a song or a melody in my head, and its still the same today.
What was it like writing
’Magic Mind’ ?
Sam: Writing the song came very easy, Brendan and myself spent time in our home studio recording demos and Magic Mind stuck out immediately as a single track, and the song has a strong meaning for us as musicians so we became very attached to it. The recording of the track was less straight forward, however, the end result we couldn’t be happier with, Ian Dowling did a great job mixing the track.

How does music make you feel / has it ever been your therapy?

Brendan: It depends on what I'm listening too. A good song will make you feel exactly how the artist wants you to feel. Thats what good writers do, capture the emotive side of a song. Music in general always has the ability to enhance someone's feelings. Imagine a party without music.. Dogshit. Song writing has always been my therapy, the feeling when you realise something you were probably always meant to do is special. I am just excited to keep working on it, especially with how talented everyone is in the band, our potential is indisputable, we just need to keep working hard.
How do you feel about playing the O2 academy Islington & on that note what is your biggest musical milestone ?
Sam: Really excited about this, it is a great venue to play and we’re excited to kick off our UK tour.
Brendan: We have spent a lot of this year recording and writing so we are very excited to spend the rest of the year playing shows especially as It will be our first UK tour. We are also hoping to get out to Europe, Asia and America. Our biggest milestone so far would be taking a demo we recorded ourselves, and turning it into nearly 500,000 streams. Squire opened up a lot of doors for us and we can thank no one but ourselves. Its given us the confidence to continue writing great songs ready for an album which people should be very excited for.
