What makes music so important to you?
I think we collectively can agree that music brings people together and is always there for whatever mood or situation you’re in. If you’re having a terrible day, hearing your favourite song might pull you back and brighten your day! By writing music you are letting out parts of yourself that you may not be comfortable to talk about and then it’s a release! Music is one of the most amazing and important parts of life!
What is your favourite original you have written as a band?
We all have different favourite's. Ethan loves, ‘Stranger Things’ because of the catchy, anthemic nature of the tune, Pod loves the tune, ‘What You’re Meant To Be’ which is yet to be released, similar to Oisin who is a fan of, ‘Don’t Let Yourself Down’ which he thinks is a quirky punk pop tune with smart lyrics and and Matt will always hold, ‘I’ll Be Waiting’ in a special place in his heart as it’s about his girl Chloë! All our songs have their own meaning and vibe and we’re immensely proud of everything we’ve created, even the stuff we don’t play anymore! It helped us grow and get better!

How does music make you feel / has it ever been a therapy?
​
Our song, ‘I Am A Machine’ was written by Matt and it was a way for him to vent how he was feeling about his Nana when she was battling cancer. The song helped him cope and was a powerful factor in releasing all the hardship that he perhaps wasn’t comfortable to talk about at the time. Music is without a doubt the one constant thing in life that can tailer to whatever you are feeling in any circumstance.

What is the music scene like in Northern Ireland?
​
Music in Northern Ireland is thriving and it’s so cool to see. We’ve been playing music for years and right now is the best stance the music scene has been in since we started. Independent promoters are emerging and more people are going to gigs! There’s some really, really, really amazing acts coming out of here. I mean the guys in Brand New Friend are supporting Snow Patrol at the minute on their tour and we played a show with them a few months back! It’s amazing to see!

What is your biggest musical achievement so far?
​
The biggest achievement for us so far is the fact that we came back after losing a few key band members, got two new guys we love to join and recorded 7 new songs by ourselves. We feel it is the best material we’ve ever had and the fact we recorded, mixed, mastered and are putting it out ourselves and people are liking it means the world.
