What makes music so important to you?
For me, it’s about finding something you can relate to,and how that makes you feel. Music allows me to relate if i'm in a low mood music can change my emotions and make me feel happy, I definitely use music to change my emotions which is important for me.

2. What is the best experience you’ve gained from music?
I was lucky enough that when I was younger I in a band and I played a big venue and it sold out. When I was performing, someone I didn’t know sang our original lyrics back to me which validated what I was doing. Someone singing lyrics back to me made me feel good about what I do and made me want to carry on.

3. How does music make you feel ? / Has it ever been your therapy?
I would go as far as to say; music actually saved my life. I am bipolar and was diagnosed when I was 15 ,there was a stage in my life when I was really, really low. Lucky I found that playing music built my confidence and gave me a focus. Listening to music gave me a break out of how I was feeling at the time.

5.What other experiences have you had with music, can you tell me about them?
I have experienced a few things ; Teaching, being a live sound engineer, I've run a record label and have been a studio engineering they're the areas I've worked in. In terms of experiences the one thing that I've always taken from music is how much of a community thing it is even if your working on your own. It’s a really positive environment, I was always told that in the music industry you’d always be told you were 'shit' but its actually not its full of positivity.
4.What bands have you had the chance to work with and can you tell me which one stands out the most to you and why?
I had the chance to work with a guy called Tony Visconti last year and he produced most of David Bowie’s records, I remember reading his book at university and it made me want to be a music producer. Getting to meet him was really cool because it gave me the opportunity to learn from someone who had been my inspiration throughout my career.
