What makes music so important to you?

We used to go to gigs all the time and see our favourite bands and think that’s what We want to do. When u see people jumping about singing the words of a song you’ve wrote there’s no better feeling. So I suppose it’s important just because it’s something We enjoy doing whether it’s listening to it or playing it. I find it hard to concentrate on anything that isn’t music orientated.

Who inspires you the most as a band?

I think there’s obvious ones like the strokes and the vaccines who have influenced us musically but Johnny from baby strange and Chris Marshall who produced our tunes have helped us develop and become the band we are. They showed us basically how to write a song so as far as influences go they don’t get much bigger.

How has the music scene treated you in Glasgow ?

The music scene in Glasgow is without a doubt the best. It’s unbelievable how many great bands there are coming from Glasgow right now there’s too many to mention but Baby Strange, Rascalton, the Dunts, Pleasure heads and heavy rapids are all doing so well just now and it’s class to see. We’ve spoken to a couple of bands from different places around the UK and even they’ve said nothing compares to Glasgow. It’s definitely the place to be. The best thing about Glasgow though is the fact that all the bands are pals with each other and support each other at their gigs and stuff. I think it all stems from drinking in the priory together. That’s the place where everyone goes and talking to people in there when your steaming can get you places. It’s probably the reason we’ve been given so many opportunities in the short time we’ve been a band and how we’ve become a part of such a closely knitted scene.

What has been your biggest achievement so far?

Just hearing people say they like our songs is enough for us. As long as people like it we will just keep doing what we are doing. Every gig we’ve played has been bigger and better than the last and when people come up and say to us at the end they enjoyed it there’s not really much better feeling. I wouldn’t say we’ve achieved anything monumental yet but we’re very proud of what we’ve done so far with the songs we’ve recorded and released. We’ve got an EP coming out at the end of June which we can’t wait to let everyone hear and hopefully they’ll enjoy it and come to see us. As far as achievements go we’ve got so much more we want to do and everything we’ve done so far is leading up to that.

Has music ever been a therapy / how does it make you feel?

I think music is a therapy for everyone. People have songs they listen to when they’re not feeling great and songs they listen to when they’re happy. I suppose listening to someone talk about things that also affect u helps u get through the day sometimes.
