THE CLAUSE

What makes music so important to you and why?

It’s the most important thing to us, it’s provided us with the best opportunities and memories doing what we love along the way.

How do you feel about venturing to Paris to support VANT ?

We are really excited to be coming over to Paris, it’s our first gig overseas away from the UK so it’s going to be a special night. We’ve always wanted to travel to gig abroad and now we’ve got a chance to show the people of Paris what were made of.

What has been your favourite gig, so far and why?

Our most recent headline gig in Birmingham is definitely up there. To sell out a venue to 650 people in your hometown is something special. The gig sold out in under 6 weeks and to hear 650 people singing your songs back to you is unreal.

What do you have planned for 2020 that most excites you?

2020 is going to be a massive year for us. We’ve just been in the studio to record some new material and it tops everything that has been released to date. We’re also planning the biggest gig we’ve ever done in the UK along with appearances at some massive festivals over the summer. We’ve also got a big tour planned for 2020 and hopefully we’ll be able to hit some more European countries

I saw you perform at 2Q festival in Lincoln, you put on a great show. Who inspires you the most as a band ?

We all have very different influences. Collectively, our sound is now influenced by big artists from a combination of the 70s, 80’s and 90s along with the style of bands like The Rolling Stones and The Doors.

How does music make you feel and has it ever been your therapy ?

Most definitely, we think it is the best kind of therapy. Relating to music and tribe messages in it is really therapeutic.
